Our Story
We worked closely with the client to ensure we created a brand that captures the luxurious identity put together by the owner and the building history. We knew that the Mark would be a home for many, a place of work, and a notable destination within the city.
Brand Creation
We set out to build a brand that invoked a sense of luxury and timelessness. Both the Mark logo and patterns pay homage to the time period associated with the original building, yet modernized for the coming age.

Mark's History
The original facia has been a part of the downtown landscape since 1926 when G. Stanley Wilson was enlisted to help create the facade that would connect three separate buildings. The Mark has preserved the integrity of the original architecture as part of their efforts to honor the history of the street scape. This includes the structural details crafted to mimic the historic location of Fire House No. 1, as seen by the large roll up doors on The Mark.

Our Challenge
The main issues we faced during the development of the brand and its materials, was having to wait for the structure to be complete. We found ways to promote excitement, peak interest, and engage our community, even without the actual building. We utilized construction fencing to promote information and capture interest with a QR.

We crafted a brand that will exist as a mainstay in the Downtown Riverside cityscape for the foreseeable future. The Mark has a robust history, and a bright future that will enable Riversiders to stay, work, and play right in the heart of the city. We helped create a strategic brand personality that will enable print, digital, and social elements to promote the Mark as a destination, a home, and the place to be.
